The Tale

A tale is not just something told
It is an ancient extension,
A living filament of the soul,
swishing behind us like a whisper from before.
It longs to be plugged back into the wellspring.

It wraps around your ankle, tugs at your heart, and pulls you home.
Back into the body.
Back into the Earth.

Do you know why it is called a tale? perhaps because it has been swishing around longing to be plugged in to the wellspring of source

The word “tale” comes from Old English talu — meaning story, reckoning, narrative account, and from the root tell- — as in to recount, to speak, to number. A tale was something told, a weaving of truth and imagination that made sense of the world.

A tale = tail of the story-beast — not just a beginning or the plot. It’s the trail. The appendage of the myth that wants to be seen, felt, danced and plugged back into the source. Into the spine and into the root.
